How To Use the Facebook Pages Manager App
The Facebook Pages Manager app for iPhone and iPad launched in May (no Android yet) and it's been a real time saver for me.
If you are a Facebook Page admin, this is a must-have app to help you respond to notifications and easily add posts and photos.
It's fairly simple to use, especially if you are familiar with the Facebook app that you use for your personal profile. Thankfully, the Pages Manager app hasn't presented me with the same problem that I usually encounter with the Facebook app (SLOOOOOW).
For the most part, I find it to be quick and it allows me do the basics: write a post, add a photo, respond to comments, check insights and see any new activity on the Facebook Page.
How to Use the Facebook Pages Manager App
To start off, you'll need to have the regular Facebook app installed. This is how Facebook will know which Pages you are admin for. Once you've installed the Facebook Pages Manager app, it will want to connect with your regular Facebook app to verify who you are.
Once it's through with that process, you'll be able to view each of your Pages as below:
Overview
There are only a few functions in the Pages Manager app, which helps keep it simple.
Posts
To write a post, just tap on Write a Post and add your text. This is where you can also share a link.
Photos
To share a photo, tap on Share a Photo and then you can either choose a photo from your library on your camera or take a new photo. This option can really save you time by not needing to upload photos to your computer to share them on your page.
Notifications
See notifications just as you would on the Facebook website. Just tap the world icon. Recent comments and/or likes will show up and you can click on them to respond.
Likes
All recent likes can be seen by tapping on the profile icon. If you do tap on an individual profile, you will be directed back to the regular Facebook app to see more information on the person
Filter
If you have a lot of other people posting on your Page, the Filter feature helps to sort the content for you.
Main Menu
Finally, to view your Page Insights, other Admins or to switch to any other Facebook Page you manage, just tap the icon in the top left corner (the one with the 3 horizontal lines).
